S usmjeravanjem pa\u017enje na sada\u0161nji trenutak\u00a0 i prihva\u0107anjem bez osu\u0111ivanja, omogu\u0107uje pojedincima da na misli i osjete gledaju kao na prolazne mentalne pojave. Ova promjena u perspektivi pobolj\u0161ava regulaciju emocija, smanjuju\u0107i reakciju na tjeskobne misli i osje\u0107aje. Svjesnost tako\u0111er poti\u010de samoprihva\u0107anje i samoosje\u0107anje tijekom vremena. Kad se pitamo kako smanjiti anksioznost, \u010dini se da je praksa svjesnosti jedan od na\u010dina.<\/p>\n<p>U istra\u017eivanju koje je provela Elizabeth Hoge sa Sveu\u010dil\u0161ta Georgetown sudjelovalo je 276 ispitanika s primarnim dijagnozama razli\u010ditih anksioznih poreme\u0107aja. Cilj istra\u017eivanja bio je usporedba u\u010dinkovitosti i sigurnosti smanjenja stresa temeljenog na svjesnosti (MBSR) s kori\u0161tenjem antidepresiva escitaloprama.<\/p>\n<p>Sudionici su nasumi\u010dno raspore\u0111eni u skupinu koja je primala MBSR ili escitalopram. Grupa koja je dobivala MBSR sudjelovala je u tjednoj nastavi od 2,5 sata, dnevnim 45-minutnim vje\u017ebama kod ku\u0107e i cjelodnevnom povla\u010denju tijekom 5. ili 6. tjedna. Grupa koja je dobivama escitalopram primala je dnevne doze antidepresiva. Istra\u017eivanje je trajalo osam tjedana. Obje su grupe pokazale zna\u010dajno smanjenje razine anksioznosti, mjereno CGI-s.<\/p>\n<p>Ono \u0161to je bitno jest da je pristup pomnosti ili svjesnosti imao bolji u\u010dinak od escitaloprama u smislu da je samo 15,4% ispitanika koji su sudjelovali u toj grupi imalo nuspojave, u usporedbi s visokih 78,6% u grupi koja je primala escitalopram.<\/p>\n<p>Ono \u0161to je primije\u0107eno jest da pristup prakse svjesnosti ili pomnosti (mindfulnessa) zahtijeva vi\u0161e vremena i pa\u017enje.
