Njen TED Talk iz 2010., <em>Snaga ranjivosti<\/em>, jedan je od deset najgledanijih TED videa na svijetu. U ovom intervjuu, ona pri\u010da o tome kako je bila u stanju prihvatiti svoju vlastitu ranjivost, dijeli pri\u010du poduzetnika koji se usudio posti\u0107i uspjeh i obja\u0161njava kako ranjivost zaista funkcionira u na\u0161em dru\u0161tvu.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Koje su prepreke prihva\u0107anju vlastite ranjivosti? Kada ste vi shvatili da je to ono \u0161to trebate napraviti?<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ranjivost je u osnovi nesigurnost, rizik i emocionalno izlaganje. Odgojena sam u &#8220;stisni zube i napravi to&#8221; vrsti obitelji i kulturi (to je vrlo teksa\u0161ki, njema\u010dko-ameri\u010dki). Osobine ustrajnosti i &#8220;stiskanja zubiju&#8221; iz te vrste odgoja koristile su mi, ali nitko me nije nau\u010dio kako da se nosim s nesigurno\u0161\u0107u ili emocionalnim rizikom. Mnoge sam godine provela poku\u0161avaju\u0107i nadmudriti ili nadja\u010dati svoju ranjivost \u010dine\u0107i stvari sigurnima i definitivnima, crnima i bijelima, dobrima i lo\u0161ima. Moja nesposobnost da se upustim u nelagodu ranjivosti ograni\u010davala je puninu onih va\u017enih iskustava koja su iskovana od nesigurnosti: ljubav, pripadanje, povjerenje, veselje i kreativnost, da navedem samo neke. Nau\u010diti kako da budem ranjiva je za mene bila borba, ali vrijedilo je.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Postoji toliko primjera uspje\u0161nih poduzetnika. Mo\u017ee\u0161 li navesti nekog koji se odva\u017eio i kao rezultat je postigao veliki uspjeh?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zasigurno je jedna od mojih najdra\u017eih pri\u010da ona o Myshkinu Ingawalu koji je, nakon \u0161to je saznao za nevjerojatnu i nepotrebnu stopu smrti rodilja u ruralnoj Indiji, odlu\u010dio ne\u0161to u\u010diniti po tom pitanju. On je htio razviti tehnologiju koja bi u\u010dinkovito i efikasno testirala anemiju u trudnih \u017eena.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On je gostovao na TED-u i kad sam ga \u010dula kako govori 2012. godine rekao je,<em> &#8220;\u017delio sam rije\u0161iti taj problem pa sam izmislio ne\u0161to \u0161to bi ga rije\u0161ilo.&#8221;<\/em> Publika je po\u010dela pljeskati. Onda je rekao, <em>&#8220;Ali to nije funkcioniralo.&#8221;<\/em> Mogli ste opipati razo\u010daranje u sobi. Tada se nasmijao i rekao, <em>&#8220;Pa sam poku\u0161ao jo\u0161 32 puta i svi su propali.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tada se kona\u010dno osmjehnuo i rekao, <em>&#8220;33-\u0107i put je uspjelo i sad je stopa smrti smanjena za 50%.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">U <em>Daring greatly<\/em> tako\u0111er pri\u010dam pri\u010du Gay Gaddis, vlasnice i osniva\u010dice T3 (Think tanka) u Austinu, Texasu. Gay je ulo\u017eila \u0161esnaest tisu\u0107a dolara koji su trebali i\u0107i za njenu mirovinu sa snom da pokrene oglasnu agenciju. 23 godine nakon po\u010detka, sa gomilom regionalnih podru\u017enica, Gay je izgradila T3 u jednu od najve\u0107ih ogla\u0161iva\u010dkih agencija u SAD-u, u potpunosti u vlasni\u0161tvu \u017eena. Kada je pitam za njenu ranjivost ona ka\u017ee: <em>&#8220;Kada isklju\u010dite svoju ranjivost, isklju\u010dite mogu\u0107nost.&#8221;<\/em> Na kraju na\u0161eg intervjua rekla mi je kako se u poduzetni\u0161tvu zapravo radi o ranjivosti. Svaki dan iznova.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Mislite li da dru\u0161tvo podr\u017eava ljude koji se gledaju kao ranjiviji? Mo\u017eemo li ispasti slabi ako poka\u017eemo svoje nesavr\u0161enosti?<\/strong> <\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Te\u0161ko\u0107a je u tome \u0161to je ranjivost prva stvar koju \u0107emo potra\u017eiti kod drugih i zadnja stvar koju smo sami voljni pokazati. U drugima, to je hrabrost. U meni, to je slabost.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tu sram ulazi u igru. Kod ranjivosti se radi o pokazivanju i tome da smo vi\u0111eni. Te\u0161ko je to u\u010diniti kad smo prestra\u0161eni time \u0161to \u0107e ljudi vidjeti ili misliti. Kada nas pogoni strah u vidu toga \u0161to \u0107e drugi re\u0107i ili onaj gremlin koji u na\u0161e uho stalno \u0161ap\u0107e <em>&#8220;Nisi dovoljno dobar\/dobra<\/em>&#8220;, te\u0161ko se pokazati.\u00a0 Tada obi\u010dno zavr\u0161imo tako da bildamo vlastiti osje\u0107aj vrijednosti umjesto da bivamo u njemu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kada svoj osje\u0107aj vlastite vrijednosti ve\u017eemo za to \u0161to proizvodimo ili zara\u0111ujemo, biti autenti\u010dnim postaje nesigurno.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dobra je vijest da mi se \u010dini da su se ljudi zasitili la\u017enog sjaja bildanja &#8211; ne da im se vi\u0161e to ni raditi ni gledati. Gladni smo ljudi koji imaju hrabrosti re\u0107i, &#8220;Treba mi pomo\u0107&#8221; ili &#8220;Priznajem, pogrije\u0161io\/la sam&#8221; ili &#8220;Vi\u0161e ne \u017eelim definirati uspjeh samo prema tituli i primanjima.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Ljudi su se u stanju vi\u0161e povezati s onima koji imaju slabosti. Svaki superheroj ima neku slabost. Za\u0161to se povezujemo s tim ljudima? Kada bi oni bili savr\u0161eni, bismo li ih vi\u0161e voljeli?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ve\u0107ina nas ne vjeruje savr\u0161enom i instinkt nam je u pravu.Istra\u017eivanja su pokazala da postoji zna\u010dajna razlika izme\u0111u perfekcionizma i zdrave te\u017enje prema izvrsnosti. Perfekcionizam je vjerovanje da ako u\u010dinimo stvari savr\u0161eno i izgledamo savr\u0161eno, da \u0107emo minimizirati ili izbje\u0107i bol krivnje, osude i srama. Perfekcionizam je \u0161tit od dvadeset tona kojeg teglimo okolo, misle\u0107i da \u0107e nas za\u0161tititi, kada je on zapravo ono \u0161to drugim ljudima prije\u010di da nas vide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Perfekcionizam je tako\u0111er mnogo druk\u010diji nego samo-pobolj\u0161anje. U svojoj sr\u017ei perfekcionizam je poku\u0161aj dobivanja odobrenja. Ve\u0107inu perfekcionista prilikom odrastanja hvalili su za postignu\u0107a i izvo\u0111enje (ocjene, lijepo pona\u0161anje, slije\u0111enje pravila, udovoljavanje drugim ljudima, izgled, sport). Negdje putem, oni su prihvatili taj opasni i iscrpljuju\u0107i sustav vjerovanja: <em>&#8220;Ono sam \u0161to postignem i kako dobro to postignem. Zadovolji. Izvedi. Savr\u0161eno.&#8221;<\/em> Kod zdrave te\u017enje fokusirani smo na sebe: Kako mogu napredovati? Perfekcionizam je usmjeren na druge: \u0160to \u0107e oni misliti? Perfekcionizam je bildanje.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I na kraju krajeva, perfekcionizam nije klju\u010d uspjeha. Zapravo, istra\u017eivanja pokazuju da perfekcionizam prije\u010di put do uspjeha. Perfekcionizam je povezan s depresijom, anksiozno\u0161\u0107u, ovisno\u0161\u0107u i paralizirano\u0161\u0107u u \u017eivotu ili propu\u0161tenim prilikama. Strah od neuspjeha, \u010dinjenja pogre\u0161ki, ne udovoljavanja standardima drugih ljudi i kritika dr\u017ei nas izvan podru\u010dja zdrave kompeticije i te\u017enji.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I na kraju krajeva, perfekcionizam nije na\u010din na koji \u0107emo izbje\u0107i sram. Perfekcionizam jest vrsta srama. Kada se borimo s perfekcionizmom, borimo se sa sramom.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Koja su prva tri koraka do toga da se usudimo?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nisam veliki fan koraka i savjeta jer stvari nikad nisu linearne (i rijetko su tako jednostavne kao \u0161to ideja koraka implicira). Mislim da je kod usu\u0111ivanja stvar u tome da se pojavimo i budemo vi\u0111eni. Radi se o prihva\u0107anju vlastite ranjivosti i razumijevanju iste kao mjesta ro\u0111enja vlastite hrabrosti i drugih iskustva koja daju smisao na\u0161im \u017eivotima.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fraza &#8220;hrabro se odva\u017eiti&#8221; je zapravo iz govora Theodorea Roosevelta &#8220;Gra\u0111anstvo u Republici&#8221;. On je odr\u017eao taj govor, koji se nekad jo\u0161 naziva i &#8220;\u010covjek u areni&#8221; na Sorbonni u Parizu, Francuska, 23. travnja, 1910.\u00a0 Ovaj je pasus u\u010dinio taj govor poznatim:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Ne broji se kriti\u010dar, niti \u010dovjek koji ukazuje na to kako je osoba posrnula ili gdje je onaj tko \u010dini neko djelo mogao to u\u010diniti bolje. Zasluga pripada \u010dovjeku koji je zaista u areni, \u010dije je lice oznojeno i zaprljano; koji hrabro poku\u0161ava&#8230;koji u najboljem slu\u010daju zna trijumf visoke razine postignu\u0107a, i koji u najgorem slu\u010daju, ako ne uspije, bar ne uspije hrabro se odva\u017euju\u0107i.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prvi put kad sam pro\u010ditala taj citat, pomislila sam &#8211; &#8220;Ovo je ranjivost.&#8221; Sve \u0161to sam nau\u010dila iz vi\u0161e od desetlje\u0107a istra\u017eivanja ranjivosti nau\u010dilo me upravo tu lekciju. Ranjivost nije poznavanje pobjede ili poraza; to je razumijevanje nu\u017enosti obojega, to je upu\u0161tanje. To je bivanje unutra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mislim da prvo moramo shvatiti \u0161to nas dr\u017ei izvan arene. Gdje je na\u0161 strah? Gdje i za\u0161to bismo htjeli biti hrabriji? Tada moramo shvatiti kako se trenutno \u0161titimo od ranjivosti. Koji je na\u0161 \u0161tit? Perfekcionizam? Intelektualiziranje? Cinizam? Otupljivanje? Kontrola? Otud sam ja krenula.
